James Joyce's fucking fuck
If you see Kay,
Tell him he may.
See you in tea,
Tell him from me.
From James Joyce's "Ulysses." I had never heard of this one before though I am sure that there is more than this that I have missed in my one reading of "Ulysses" thus far. Notice also, the 'cunt' reference. Another famous four letter word that people cringe at.

"Fuck." The infamous four letter word that makes any self respecting (as well as a few not so self respecting...) parent cringe even thinking about it coming from the lips of their child. Its a simple four letter word. Its short and to the point. It is a noun, a verb and adjective. It can be used in proper grammatical forms and it also lends itself to very creative forms of twisting the
expletive lexicon into many barbed multisyllabic insults. It can be used as an expression of disgust, hatred, love, joy, fear or just plain nonchalantly used as an everyday flavoring peppering our speech and interactions.
F***. The shortest, most to the point, simplest of all four letter words in the Anglo-Saxon lexicon. Thank you.
